जरायल के प्रधानमंत्री बेंजामिन नेतन्याहू ने भारतीय पायलट कैप्टन स्मित मच्छार(Smit Macchar) से फोन पर बातचीत की। 30 सितंबर को दुबई से तेल अवीव जा रही फ्लाईदुबई की फ्लाइट FZ1073 में कॉकपिट के अंदर को-पायलट के हमले के बावजूद कैप्टन मच्छार ने धैर्य और सूझबूझ का परिचय दिया।
घायल होने के बाद भी उन्होंने विमान को संभाला और सभी यात्रियों को सुरक्षित बचाने में अहम भूमिका निभाई। नेतन्याहू ने इस घटना के दौरान कैप्टन मच्छार के साहस और संयम की सराहना की। उन्होंने उन्हें भारत, इजरायल और पूरी दुनिया का हीरो बताया।
स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह का दिया न्योता
फोन पर बातचीत के दौरान नेतन्याहू ने कैप्टन मच्छार और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को इजरायल के अगले स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह में शामिल होने का निमंत्रण दिया। उन्होंने दोनों को समारोह में जश्न की मशाल जलाने के लिए आमंत्रित किया। नेतन्याहू ने कैप्टन मच्छार के जल्द और पूरी तरह स्वस्थ होने की कामना भी की।
